Welcome to Harmony Harbour UK!!

Harmony Harbour was an idea that started approximately two years ago when Chris was experiencing his own mental health crisis and was being pushed form pillar to post with no form of support at all. Chris decided in that moment that enough was enough, he was sick and tired of the lack of mental health services available and he made a vow that he was going to turn his knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience into supporting people when they needed help the most with the aim of making sure that nobody ever felt like he did.

What started off as an idea turned into actions when Chris explained to Bev about his idea and plan and, wanting to do something similar herself, Chris invited Bev to join forces and Harmony Harbour was born.

Since launching, Chris and Bev have worked tirelessly behind the scenes creating the organisation to what it is today and although there is still a very long way to go, we are very proud of the work that has already been achieved and the lives that have been saved. (over 130 to be precise!!)

We offer a variety of different services including our crisis hot line, our WhatsApp text service, multiple social media channels and our podcast The Harbour Lounge.

We pride ourselves on our empathy, compassion and non-judgmental approach and that is a basic foundation that we strive to maintain every day. We have been judged ourselves and we never want anyone to feel that way. It's hard enough to pick up the phone or send a message when you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious or in crisis, let alone adding the fear of being judged or being treated unfairly.

One of the things our clients always say to us is that they are really able to connect with us because of our lived experience. All members of our team have their own mental health conditions and therefore rather than preaching to someone with a text book in hand about how they should be feeling or what they should be doing, we can actually relate to our clients and this allows us to have that person-centered approach. There is nothing worse than when someone who is suppose to be supporting you, hasn't got a single clue how you are actually feeling.

What started off as just the two of us, has now turned into a team of four and we are constantly expanding.

We have also noticed that we have a lot of clients reach out to us who live with neurodevelopmental or neurodivergent conditions and therefore we have created Harmony Harbour: The Neurodiversity Hub. A safe space where our clients with additional needs can go to seek support, guidance and advice that is accessible.

We have also recently launched our WhatsApp text service because we wanted to ensure that everyone could reach out for support in a way that felt comfortable for them.

We offer private 1-2-1 talking therapy sessions with our trained professionals and you can find details on the types of therapy we offer, how to book and view our price list by visiting the therapy page.

We also have our social media channels that are updated daily so please do make sure to check them out and if you like our content and would like to follow along with our journey, we would be delighted if you could hit that follow/subscribe button. If you are feeling really generous, we would also love it if you could like our posts and perhaps even give them a share or repost.

We also have our weekly TikTok live stream that we do on Tuesdays from 7:30pm and so if you would like to come and join us, we would love to meet you! Don't be shy, we promise we don't bite!!

What started as a mere idea 2 years ago has become something that I don't think either of us anticipated but even through the late night phone calls, the early morning coffee breaks, the laughs, the tears, the breakdowns and then very frequently questioning if we have lost our sanity, we love every single moment and watching the organisation grow the way it is will always be something we are both incredibly proud of!

So please come and join us on this bonkers but brilliant journey, we promise it will be absolutely worth it!
